About the Nuix Discover upgrade checklist
This document provides a checklist of the tasks required to prepare and upgrade to the Nuix Discover 10.19.x software. Only the system administrators who perform the upgrades should use this document. Carefully review the information in this checklist before upgrading Nuix Discover.
Use this document only when upgrading from versions 9.3 or greater, where all Nuix Discover servers are running the following:
Windows Server 2019 or 2022 and
SQL Server 2017 CU5 (Build version 14.0.3023.8), SQL Server 2019 CU5, SQL Server 2022 or above (Build version 15.0.4033.1)
Note: As of Nuix Discover 10.0, SQL Server 2014 is no longer supported.
If your Nuix Discover version is earlier than 8.0, or you are running earlier versions of Windows Server or SQL Server, contact Nuix Support, as described in the following section.
For important information about changes to hardware and system requirements, see the Nuix Discover Hardware and System Requirements.
Note: Ringtail has been rebranded to Nuix Discover with the 10.0 release. Some of the application components, installers, and other files are still Ringtail.
In Nuix Discover 10.1, the method of deploying the web site was changed to increase the ability to perform near zero downtime upgrades. There is now a Ringtail Internal web site that hosts versioned instances of the web sites. The default web site now has URL rewrite rules to direct requests to the published version.
