Build and schedule a cube
When you create a new cube, you must build the cube to make the data in the cube available for analysis. Case administrators and group leaders can build cubes and schedule cube builds on a daily or weekly basis.
For existing cubes, the data in a cube remains static until the cube is rebuilt. To refresh the data in a cube, you rebuild the cube. You can schedule cube builds to refresh the data on a recurring basis. Consider the purpose of the cube when scheduling a build. For example, if you design a cube to capture the latest information, schedule the cube for daily builds. After a cube is rebuilt, the previous version is no longer accessible.
Note: Depending on the number of documents in the cube, the build process can take a few minutes to a few hours.
The Build and Schedule buttons are active only for selected cases with an assigned analysis server in the portal. For more information about servers, see Work with Servers.
To build cubes or schedule cube builds:
On the Case Home page, under Analysis, click Cubes.
Select the check box next to the cubes that you want to build.
Select from the following:

To schedule future or recurring builds, click Schedule. In the Schedule a cube build dialog box, select from the following options and then click Save.
Once: Enter the date and time.
Daily: Enter the time. The Next start time appears in the dialog box.

The status of the cube build appears on the Cubes page. A green triangle next to a cube indicates all builds or schedules succeeded. A red triangle appears next to cubes that cannot be built or scheduled.
Delete a scheduled build
You delete scheduled builds on the Scheduled Jobs page in the Processing section of Portal Management. Case administrators can access the Scheduled Jobs page for their cases. For more information, see Scheduled Jobs.
