Compare document similarity: cluster documents

When you first view the Map, documents are grouped into clusters based on the similarity of their concepts. However, you may want to compare all of the documents to a single document or to a small group of documents. You do this by clustering on selected documents. This allows you to see similarities to or differences from the selected documents, based on concepts.

To cluster on selected documents:

Select multiple documents in the Map or perform a search using the Find box.

On the Map menu, click Cluster selected.

The Map clusters the selected documents based on their concepts. All other documents move to the Not Clustered cluster.

To add the documents in the Not Clustered cluster back into the main cluster area, on the Map menu, click Cluster all.
