Work with coding templates

To make it easier for reviewers to know what data to code, you can create a coding template. A coding template is a list of the relevant items that you want reviewers to code for each document. Coding items can include fields, binders, issues, and so on.

You can create and manage the following types of coding templates:

Conditional coding template: Allows you to indicate which items you expect reviewers to code, based on the values that are coded for related items. As reviewers code each item in a conditional coding template, the colors of the remaining items change to indicate which items must still be coded. For more information about conditional coding templates, see Work with conditional coding templates.

Traditional coding template: Allows you to display all relevant coding items independently, with equal weight. The values in one item do not affect whether other items must be coded. For more information about traditional coding templates, see Work with traditional coding templates.

Reviewers access coding templates on the Documents page. For more information about coding documents, see Code documents.
