Work with quick codes
A quick code is a color-coded value that is associated with a coding field. Quick codes allow reviewers to quickly apply a coding value to a document by selecting from a list of available quick codes. For more information about coding documents with quick codes, see Quick code documents .
Create a quick code list
A quick code list is a list of the quick codes that reviewers can apply to documents. To create a quick code list, you create a pick list with family rank and color coding. For information about how to create a pick list, see Create pick lists.
After you create a quick code list and configure security for it, the quick code list appears on the Documents page.
Set default quick code lists
Use the following procedures to set default quick code lists.

In the Case Setup section, on the Case Defaults page, select a quick code list from the Quick code configuration list. |

In the Security section, on the Groups page, on the Properties page for a group, select a quick code list from the Quick code configuration list. |

In the Review Setup section, select a workflow, and then select a phase. On the Properties page for a phase, select a quick code list from the Quick code list. |
View the quick code lists associated with a case |
On the Documents page, click the Tools menu, and then select Quick code. |
Limit reviewers to one quick code list |
An administrator or group member with permissions can change the quick code list that is available on their Documents page. To limit reviewers to one quick code list, in the Security section, on the Features page, set the Change quick code feature to Deny. |
