Export documents

Case administrators can create or delete export jobs, view existing export jobs, and download exports to local storage. For information about how to view existing export jobs, see View export jobs.

Note: You cannot modify an export job after it has been submitted.

Prerequisite for exporting load files

To export load files, you must create a load file template under Manage Documents > Load File Templates. Load file templates control which metadata is exported and the file output format. The type of template required depends on what you are exporting: base or rendition documents. For information about how to create or modify load file templates, see Work with load file templates.

Access the Exports feature

There are two ways to access the Exports feature.

Export base or rendition documents directly from search results that appear on the Documents page. The Export option is available on the Tools menu.

Note: Group leaders and members with access to Exports can export only native files.

Export productions or binders using the Exports link on the Manage Documents page.

Export productions: You can only export locked and printed productions.

Export binders: To export documents in a binder, create at least one general load file template and one binder of base documents. For more information, see Binders.

You can create three different types of exports. Click on the following links for instructions.
