View concept information in the Map pane

You can view and work with the concepts associated with documents in the Map. Viewing and working with concepts in the Map can be an important way to filter documents, cluster documents, or remove concepts that are not important to the case.

The following table describes how to view concepts and other information about documents using the Map.

To do the following...

Do this...

View the most prominent concepts in a document

To view the top six concepts in a document, hover over the document dot in the Map.

To view all concepts in the document, select the document in the Map, and then view the concepts in the Selected Concepts section of the Browse pane.

View the most prominent concepts in a cluster

To view the top six concepts in a cluster, hover over the cluster circle.

To view all concepts in the cluster, select the cluster circle, and then view the concepts in the Selected Concepts section of the Browse pane.

Select all documents that have a specific concept

In the Map, click a spine label concept. The following things happen:

All documents that contain that concept are selected and appear in the Working list.

The concept is selected in the Concepts section of the Browse pane.

The concepts appear in the Selected Concepts section of the Browse pane.
