Get your assignments
An assignment is a logically related set of documents that are designed to be reviewed together. During the review process, you analyze, review, and code the documents in an assignment.
Each reviewer is responsible for retrieving their own assignments.
You can also get your assignments in the Browse pane. for more information, see Work with assignments in the Browse pane.
To get your assignments:
On the Case Home page, in the navigation pane, click My Assignments.
A list of your active and suspended assignments appears.
Click Get next assignments on the toolbar.
Enter the number of assignments that you want to retrieve, and then click OK.
Note: You can get additional assignments until you reach the maximum number of assignments that is allowed. Your administrator configures the maximum number of assignments.
To review the documents in an assignment, open the assignment.
Open an assignment
You open an assignment to review the documents in the assignment.
When you open an assignment, the documents in the assignment appear on the Documents page. The documents that appear may vary, depending on your search preferences:
If your search preferences include sources and attachments, then the documents that appear on the Documents page include the source files and attachments of the documents in the assignment. If a document appears gray in the List pane, the document is a source file or attachment of a document in the assignment, but is not included in the search that was conducted to create the assignment.
If your search preferences include threading, then the documents in the assignment appear in threaded view in the List pane. Your administrator must also enable threaded view for the assignment.

Tip: You can also perform a search to find documents that are in an assignment. If you search based on the assignment status, you can search for documents that are in a specific workflow or phase. For information about how to search for documents, see Perform an advanced search.
To open an assignment:
On the Case Home page, in the navigation pane, click My Assignments.
A list of your active and suspended assignments appears.
Select from the following:
To open all documents in an assignment, in the Total column, click the number.
To open any uncoded documents that still require review, in the Remaining column, click Get.
The assignment opens on the Documents page. Here you can begin the document review process. For information about the review process, see Review documents in the List pane. For information about how to choose the panes that appear on the Documents page, see Customize the workspace.
Note: If an assignment meets the coding requirements, the assignment is cleared and a notification message appears. To view the documents in a cleared assignment, click the assignment name. Or, click OK to close the notification message.
After you finish reviewing the documents in an assignment, you must clear the assignment. For information about how to clear a completed assignment, see Clear completed assignments.
Configure columns on the My Assignments page
You can display additional information about your assignments on the My Assignments page.
To configure the columns on the My Assignments page:
On the Case Home page, in the navigation pane, click My Assignments.
To display additional columns, hover over a column heading, and then click the arrow. Point to Columns, and then select the check box next to each column that you want to display.
You can display the following columns:
ID: The assignment ID number.
Workflow: The workflow that the assignment belongs to.
Phases: The phase that the assignment belongs to.
Lot: The lot that the assignment belongs to.
Lot description: The lot description for the lot that the assignment belongs to.
Created date: The date that the assignment was created.
Assigned date: The date that the assignment was assigned to you.
Cleared date: The date that the assignment met the coding requirements and was cleared.
Cleared: The number of cleared documents in an assignment. This number is updated when you access an assignment.
To change the order that the columns are displayed, drag a column heading to the order that you want it to appear.
By default, cleared assignments do not appear on the My Assignments page. To display cleared assignments, click the filter button in the Status column. Point to Filters, and then select the check box next to Cleared.
