About coding and sweeping documents in the Map

You can quickly code documents within the Map by applying a quick code. A quick code is a color-coded value that is associated with a coding field. Your case administrator or review lead configures the available quick codes.

While you code documents in the Map, you can periodically remove coded documents from the main cluster area and place the documents in colored set-aside clusters on the side of the Map. You can then re-cluster the documents in the Map for a new view of the remaining uncoded documents.

You can perform the following tasks to code documents in the Map.

Quickly code a document by selecting a color-coded value from a list. For more information, see Code documents in the Map.

Periodically remove coded documents from the Map, to make it easier to review uncoded documents. For more information, see Remove coded documents from the Map: sweep documents.

View and manage coded documents in the Map. For more information, see Work with coded documents in the set-aside clusters.

If multiple reviewers are allowed to review and code the same document at the same time, make sure that you are reviewing the most recent quick code values by reloading the Map. For more information, see Reload the Map.
